Our journey to find that “just right” place has brought us to the Inn at Schoolhouse Creek. I think we have found the place – Fuchsia Cottage. The view, the quiet (interrupted only by the buoy bell), the birds, the trees, the flowers, and of course the food and hospitality – after a busy day in the metropolis of Mendocino it was so nice to come home to the glow of the fireplace and the warmth of our cottage.

Our family had a great time at Schoolhouse Creek. We saw deer, quail and other wildlife. The flowers were beautiful, and the Innkeepers were nice people. We will definitely come back again.

We loved the Garden Cottage. A change of plans brought us to the cottage set off on its own, and we were thankful for it… the moon shining in on our bed through the arched window… the relaxing whirlpool bath & robes… a mountain horse ride and amazing massage… all was magical.

We love this cottage! It’s so cozy and intimate, I’m glad we could make a return visit. The bed is the softest, warmest bed especially when it’s raining outside. We also really enjoyed breakfast, the food was delicious! We came up expecting rain and stormy weather, but the storm passed and we’ve had beautiful moments of sunlight, brilliant spring flowers, and of course the dark blue sea. We walked to the little beach down the road, what a gem! I don’t know what could be any better than this little cottage by the sea!
